Steven, you still remember i am from KL right ?
The strange part is that, the temp is unaffected. My CRS tank remains at 25C throughout the E1/EI display period................. |

Just gotten CL280 for my 70L tank from NA knew that coolant is refillable exactly like our aircond.
Wonder how can I calculate the electricity bill. Info from many webie states Horsepower * 0.75 = kWh so 1/10 hp * 0.75 * 18.88cents = 1.416 cents per hour total cost even running non stop 24h * 30days = $10.2 per month Is it too low? |

E1 is actually an electronics problem. i had this prob when i got a 2nd hand chiller. got pissed with it as the reading goes haywire and decided to get a new one. most of the time its the thermostat problem or the wire connection loose. try opening up the casing and see if the wires are loose. you did mention that when u tap it, it goes back. so most likely the connection's loose. Anyway where did u get the chiller from?

Thanks Barra. I will pay attention to the wiring, not too sure if i wanna repair the chiller myself. I got the CL280 from a fellow shrimp fans like me in KL.

I think best to get a electric technician to check the connection. The labour fee should be cheaper compare to Singapore. Or you can bring it to those small shop that repair TV or etc, they should be able to check the connection problem for you too. Just my 2 cents knowledge |

3 options you have here :
1) Call the agent for spare parts. May cost more. Contact will be available if you look through the internet. Search for the Manufacturer and local distributor. 2) Try "Aquarium Hardware shop" at Yishun (the one at HDB branch office building). 3) Try NA. The boss is such a good DIY person that he'll probably be able to help you solve it. |
