Default Substrate preparation

Hey guys, i been looking through some websites about preparation of substrate and they dont seem to provide enough information.

Im kinda confused on the first part of preparing the substrate. What i read is that your suppose to have one layer of ur sand, followed by one layer of fertliser, followed by your substrate. So that it forms some kind of sandwich. Is that right guys?

What kinda fertiliser do u you guys use?

it is really important to have that layer of fertiliser?

Can i landscape my tank while theres fish inside?

Thanks for reading

Use ADA soil and you no need to worry about gravel, base fert, etc

You can't do major scape when your fish inside
