Paranoid is a good choice of word

One of the better ways to set in new L46 is to leave them without caves for a week or two . Let them test out who is the king in the tank without the fear of killing . It lower chances of killing when caves are added in as somehow the stronger ones would more or less define .

This is interesting... I assume it applies to other hypans as well?

i have 2m2f in a 2ft tank, i started off w 1m2f 8mths ago and i added in another male after 3mths. the former alpha used to bully the newer male but as time pass this newbie grew stronger and keep whacking the former alpha now. sorry i do not know how to attach a pic here.

For all of them . If you got no intention to breed or the fishes are too young . I dont see a need for caves in the tanks at all . Just basic hiding spots would be good enough . Why add worries into your tank

Sit back grab a popcorn and watch the show .

After the show , it should be time for breeding

One of the main reasons for them to be fighting so hard is due to the change of weather . Time for the male to rule the tank and do what he need to be doing for its owner !
