Hi,

My new Arowana isn't eating well. Anyone can advise what to do?

He just arrived in my new tank 4days ago.
He was eating well at the first and second day.

He is housing in a 5ft tank and filtration system is 4ft sump tank.

Is the fish frightened in the new environment?
is the water condition good?
did you overfeed the fish the last time?
reds can get temperamental sometimes.

If your fish is actively swimming around the tank, keep the water conditions up and wait for it to start feeding again.

for video, you can upload to youtube and attach the link here.

Be patient and observe. Sometimes he is stressed due to new environment.
Is he swimming with the fins open fully?

How big is the aro? Aros can starve itself for up yo 3 months. For juveniles, the can go without food for 1 month no problem

Just as the bosses said, be patient, do not worried, so long as the tank mates are eating, sooner or later it will eat. Continue to monitor the water condition.

Just as Bro patclay said, Aro can don't eat for month(s), they won't die. :-)

Hello

I previously faced issues with appetite, all parameters are good, but guess wad? my temperature was around 25 to 26 deg c and cools down further if I switch my fan on.

I got a heater and tuned up the temp to 29~30deg c, wala! Monster appetite came back!

Good luck
