I just saw this on my GF. Please advise.

Nope I don't think so, picture is really blurr but I think it's just a lesion. Remove it from the tank into a hospital tank and just change (50%) water daily. You can adds alittle salt or medication to speed up the recovery.

Basically its like something scrapped the inside of the gill covering, so its translucent now.
Erm... like if you scrape the silver off a mirror... know what I mean? |

One had no injuries at all. Looked even alive in death cos the filter was sucking its tail fin and it was upright.
One had the fungus, and the injury in the head. One just suddenly had difficulty breathing, noticed bloodlines running along the fins as I fished out the body. |
