redcross color-enhancing pellets for koi

Hi All,

Can the koi senior share with me which color-enhancing pellets for koi is good?
As i keep one of my koi at home the sumi coming up very fast but the hi is fading.....

Now i feeding saki-hikari color-enhancing pellets 8times a day, PL lighting 6hrs aday but the hi is still not coming up.

Please help thank you..

hi bro. you're doing good with saki hikari. but do take note that it might make the shiroji turn yellowish. u can try feeding colour enhancing pellets for a month or 2 and stop and switch to different kind of food, and let the hi improve.

I'm not too sure if pH would also affect the hi of koi. maybe other bros here care to comment?

I've stopped feeding colour enhancing pellets for close to 3 months already but using refresh powder to maintain their colour. it works for me. you might want to consider this option too.

ur food is alright i duno why hi fade...mayb the genes of the koi or it grow too fast so the hi will catch on later

I used the Sakai colour from Max koi before which is pretty good. You can perhaps give it a try. But do agree that genes play a part too.

ya i think so cos in one month it grow 8cm to me that is kind of fast 15cm now 23cm min.

sakai colour may i know what is the size of the food? cos my koi is only 23cm to 25cm only

They should have medium and large if i remember it right. Floating or sinking available too. Your kois will have no problem taking medium size pallets.

Just went Max Koi to buy a 4kg Sakai Hi-Grow + Colour sinking at $135. For info, it only comes in "L" size with the option of floating or sinking. Believe your kois would still able to eat as their large is only slightly bigger than some medium size feed.

Oh ok thank u I think L size is a bit too big for that fish. May go JK see if they have M size hehe by the way thank u very much
