They want you to drive for them, sure tell you very affordable.

& Sell you the idea of your own car.

Actually is you pay for your own car & you drive for others.

The operators behind need to report to LTA on availability performance?

Where got people sell things to you say very expensive?

Be bus driver with fixed income better This '$6k' income is in a sense, a hoax... it's ok for those with existing car and moonlighting, but not ok for those who rent car to drive for a living.

I know someone, who was driving on rental car sometime middle of this year. On a Saturday, he said his revenue was, if I don't recall wrongly, about $87 for the day (as at 930pm). I can only say, this guy very snake (know him for the longest time and he is that kind), I can't believe $87 revenue for a day's drive. After deduct this and that, cleaner earns more than him. I don't trust that he was driving very earnestly.

Haha... that's exactly the thing. Make it sound so lucrative, $6k income or what as they advertised.

When I spoke with that particular driver I took his ride, it sounds viable to drive, when I didn't take into consideration all the cost. But for his case, it makes sense to drive Uber. He works as a soccer coach for a school, and his coaching hour is 3pm. He is unable to get another job for the other hours, so he drives Uber. But he looks very beaten, eyes all red and like it's gg to pop out kinda tired.

Yes, that's the thing. If one has an existing car, and drives to just generate some revenue, it makes sense. With an existing car, if he generates about $50 fares a day, he probably covers 50-75% of his monthly car cost. Just assuming

Suit some people in some cases

I met a friend at the airport for lunch

He picked up a fare for $8, from Bedok to airport

Subsidized a bit for his petrol & parking

Suitable for him as he works shifts, so on his off-days he can do this part time & still got sufficient time to rest

Otherwise for those normal 9-5 office workers it will be tiring if you continue to drive after your normal work

Coming to that tiring part. Late last night, I saw this (not sure Uber or Grab) driver at e traffic lights. He looks really beaten! I would worry if i'm the passenger.

Oh, was there a driver (not sure which app) that was involved in a scuffle with a caucasian man ON Orchard Road (in front of Orchard Central) just late last week? JAIL both la... ON the road, right lane... and Orchard Road is already jammed every evening, yet this idiots were occupying the right lane. Knn if kena langar i pity the driver who hit them.

Eversince Uber and Grab are around, i rarely take comfort taxi.

For the first time, I hv seen taxis queuing for passengers at CBD area during peak hours. Last few years they were nowhere to be seen esp during peak hours at CBD.

For the taxi/uber/grab drivers, from the conversations that i had with them, gone are the days to earn $6-7k now.

The winners from the competition are passengers and govt (why govt? coz these companies are solving peak hour taxi problems for the govt which they were trying to solve for so many years).

Only plus point is the cheaper rental as compare to renting a tax which cost 110 onwards.
At least when it comes to fall sick or going holiday.
Heart not so pain.

They rent u the car at $68/Day on condition that everyday min 8 hours on your phone and accept 80% of the booking.
If these two condition meet and you cannot earn up to 6k , they will top up, but there is always computer program to make sure u meet 6k, unless everyday u standby at Lim Chu Kang.
