Well, yes, a lot were hiding and waiting for calls. Each call extra a few dollars. So can understand why some drivers will do that than quickly pick from street/taxi stands.

Gov, well, with the competition, they have decided to remove the minimum mileage (for taxi) as now, taxi drivers became hungry.

If the guaranteed take home is $6k, than it's worth driving min 8hrs and accept 80% bookings.

But if $6k is gross, after deduct, no meat... like llewellyn shared above, $6k gross, less rent, less operating cos, etc etc... the nett is really miserable.

hahaha.... yes CNY confirmed trip

Dumaguete - Siquijor - Dumaguete - Oslob - Dumaguete.

U got advise on Dumaguete to Oslob? This is the missing link... all others arranged n fixed liao.

After this trip, I'll consider Mactan and Malapuscua (again) in future but not immediate future. Mactan has a deep wreak and a cave that's deep too. So these 2 dives, I wanna do. Malapuscua is enjoyable! Love e leisure pace, nice beach, good dives.

Just googled

Where where?

Btw, Padangbai. How you transfer from Padangbai back to Kuta or wherever? My recent trip in Sept, the taxi company screw up and taxi didn't come. Contacted the operator and he said, he mistaken it to be the next day

Anyway, i went to the taxi counters nearby and paid about the same fare or was it a bit cheaper. So no need to bother abt making arrangement.

Rhinopias used to be found at Padangbai, but recently was told no sightings may be poached away.

Denpasar airport transfers was 700k total, 350k eachway, arranged thru resort, flexible timing. Less than 1.5 hours can reach resort hotel liao. Cheap beer n food n massage.

On leave must relax

What resort ah? Ur transfer fee is per pax?

Cheap beer, food, massage? As in, compared to SG or? Padangbai not much makan options unless u venture out of the main beach (where ferry terminal is) area. I didn't venture out so end up eating at the same few restaurants.

Jetty dive site is not bad. Shallow, but more things to see. Can do very long dive since it's shallow (probably average depth of 8m). There's this huge school of duno what fish (those that can be fished at Bedok Jetty). It's a nice sight seeing them move in synchronized like direction. A bit like sardine run in Moalboal.

Just heard on Class 95, they were talking abt a woman passenger taking Uber recently. The driver was eating his macdonald whiledriving with only 1 finger on the wheels. Really, such drivers.... accident waiting to happen.
