Wah faint, then I better erase all memories and start learning all over again. I've an idea, why not we keep it simple by using their scientific names?

- Datnioide Pulcher : DP
- Datnioide Microlepis : DM

Let me throw in my sharing :

The common term is "ST" applied within the Indo-China Region.
Upon request, the agent / seller will share the COO.

All price tag sold as ST.

The scientific name of asian aro is S. formosus
Be it YT, G, Red, Golden

Is Naomi green a new breed?

Stingrays experts, so can someone tell me what is the diff between P13(PDR and BD)?

Even olden days, people are calling ITs as STs as well...the debates goes on.

For me, the diff is clear eventhough tigers from 2 main rivers in that region are closest in term of appearance, and yet different.

Sometimes, scientific terms may not be best suited in ALL cases

Bingo, key thing is affordable.
I think this is the key word
But will any of these VT, ST, CT, MT be ever affordable?

My sharing is referring to the trade.

Retailers in Thailand refer NTT & ST as Siam TIgers whom assume is NTT instead of ST.

I no stingray expert but there is Big different lor and I don't mind buying BD at PDR price..

Why I say ST is not from Chao Phraya is because I did verify with the Thai who are long time in the fish trade even 2 years back those so call ST wasn't even from Thai.. they just wild caught along the Mekong region..
