regarding magnetic cleaner
Dear Bros,
Where do you all get your magnetic cleaners ( those that i see left stuck on the tanks) from and what are the prices like ? Cheers, Eddie |

I suppose you can get it from any LFS. bought mine for 8 bucks.
there's different sizes, where a mini one avaliable too. |

If you really want a cool one, there is one that is a magnetic scraper cum thermometer.

Actually i don't find the attached scraper to be effective enough. Am using scouring pad by scotch brite which my mum using it for dish washing, have it attached on the scraper, hehee! Find it rather effective for me!!
As i afraid it be easy to house bacteria or so, often treat it under hot boiling water! |

My experience was that magnetic cleaners are not effective when algae been growing already.
I am now using a plastic card (can be unused credit card, membership cards, student card or some others doesn't matter as long as quite hard can liow). Just use it to scrap on glass surface. Very clean glass after that even established algae also can scrap out. Best of all it will not scratch the glass since plastic cards are softer than glass. Been using it since someone told me about it. Didn't cost a single cent . Just me 2 cents opinion (oops, more expensive than the card . |
