It was entertaining for neutrals. But for Klopp and Pep, they should be concerned that their defending was poor and allowed 3 and 4 goals to go in.

I expected City to score at the death for a 4-4 draw, the way Liverpool was defending after being 4-1 up.

when 2 out n out attacking team play do you expect no goals? the pressure is on both sets of defenders n GK, with the intensity that both team are playing, individual errors are bound to happen......unless you "park the bus" whereby there are 10 men in your own half with at least 3 tier of defense line.

The look on Klopp's face said it all when City scored their 3rd goal. Given another 5 mins would not be surprised to see who would have won the match. But City had themselves to be blamed for the defeat. All the goals conceded were individual mistakes which Liverpool's high pressing paid dividends.

I know each manager has his own philosophy and some are credited with wanting to play a passing game even from the goalkeeper onwards. But sometimes as a defender, you just have to ignore the manager's instructions and whack the ball away when there is danger or when the opposing players are swarming around you trying to rob you of the ball.

First test for Giggs, rumours that he wants Scholes to be his assistant. Wonder what will be pundit Gary's comments on Giggs' performance during his Welsh term!!!

Ryan Giggs has been appointed Wales manager on a four-year contract.

The 44-year-old former Manchester United winger succeeds Chris Coleman, who left for Sunderland in November.

Coleman's assistant Osian Roberts, former Wales striker Craig Bellamy and Mark Bowen were also interviewed.

Giggs had long been a target for the Football Association of Wales (FAW) and was the favourite for the role once Coleman departed after Wales failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.
