OHF/Sump are already two of the best methods of filtration for aquariums

Best IMO is a sump that feeds a OHF wet/dry trickle filter. That supremely oxygenates the water, and is the best breeding ground for BB.

Use wool in first compartment of sump tank to catch debris, and large Marine Pure blocks in rest of the sump for anaerobic nitrate removal. Pump to OHF and trickle through wet/dry ceramic media for nitrogen fixing (ammonia/nitrate removal)

If I'm not wrong, you're only going to have 1 FH in your tank.
OHF will suffice. Coral chips can be placed in tank (bagged or scattered) or in OHF.

Btw, the amount of BB in filtration media is not directly linked to how much media you use or size of sump etc. sure more media can cultivate more BB but in the absence of food for the BB, the amount present will be limited. By food I mean ammonia produced from the bioload.

hi all
morning to all of you here

dont mind i still got more question to ask

hope to know more

i saw from these Rein-biotech services recently they introduced these Best Bio sand which is good in clutivate BB and keep the water clean and help to decompose rotten materials like food
in the introduction they mentioned about carbon, normally we dun keep carbon for too long in the tank
will these sand be good if i put inside my tank with ohf?
i just want to beautify my tank and try out if its best for my fish
any comments?
please advise

Honestly...IMO FH is a messy, greedy, hardy and lonely fish. So I would presume you are keeping it alone in a NOT so big tank (2.5" max unless yr FH is so huge). To easily housekeep such tank and at the same time NOT depriving it of comfortability, sponge filter/s will be sufficient in a clear tank with no sand. WC regularly and feeding moderately ofc.
