ok...most of my initial questions have been answered...phew~
now...i tink i will ask question one at a time whenever i tink of any... 1st to go... i have C3 and C0 sand...whicih one should i put bottom layer? which one top? if im not wrong..should be C0 at the bottom...C3 top...correct? |

Correct, the coarser sand should always go on top to prevent sandstorm. Mixing the sand would be a waste of effort as well as overtime, the fine sand will sink down and the coarse sand will move up, forming 2 distinct layers.

im new to saltwater
hihi all,
im changin my freshwater tank to saltwater. what are some of the basic stuffs that i need? do i need strong pumps to keep the water circulatin stronly? how much salt do i need for a 3ft tank? i need a lot of advise. |

godzillaliu88: Do readup the thread posted by ace bowlerz, it will help guide you along and covers the more basic part of marine fishkeeping. Its not possible for us to spoonfeed everything as there's simply too many techniques and information for us to be able to cover.

latest update:
i have got: tank 2 X 1 X 1.5ft (check) weipro 2011 skimmer (check) 2ft PL 55W b/w light set (check) 10kg top layer sand C3 (check) 10kg bottom layer sand C0 (check) 2000l/hr pump (getting tomorrow evening) liverocks (camping in SRC for gd deals) livestock (still long way to go) sea salt (will get it this saturday) went down to aquamarin after work today...hehe..bought 10kg of C0 sand. gonna get atman pump (2000l/hr) from another forumer tomoro. plan to start cyling my tank this sat after buying the salt! wahhhahaha...hand very itchy when i saw those livestocks just now... gagagaga~ anything i might have missed out? |
