Re-scaped!
Hello again people! Today went shopping with bro huttshun and came home with a load of new stuff! I've decided to re-scape my tank (AGAIN) with the intention of keeping a dwarf puffer! I wanted a more leafy, deeper scape. Got Magic Soil (strongly rec. by the unker), HC, downoi, Nymphaea lotus and a tall gassy plant.
Planting was *fun*. As my first time, I soon got the hang of it. However, the substrate grain size was quite big so it took awhile. When I was done planting and topping up the water almost to the max, the biggest downoi floated up! Then one stalk of the gassy plant. As I replanted that grassy stalk, another one nearby would float up #$%*. About 4 times this happened haha. Everything dumped in upon reaching home. Overhauled and planted. Nice vivarium setup! haha Filled with water. Closeup. Downoi not planted very nicely, might replant. Another closeup.. I hope everything grows well! I also bought Seachem Flourish and Excel so hopefully it does (: I feel like it could use a taller mid-ground plant like a windelov fern or something.. To add more depth to it. Hmm. Thanks for viewing, and do comment on my tank! (: |

bro! let me know if your corkscrew val. survives or not. the grassy thing. i recently bought 2 stalks from c328 on vesak day and by today they're all almost gone. melt like mad.
dunno whether too hot or what. have been dosing excel.... or maybe it needs a top layer soil substrate kind of setup? i have black quartz on the top.. |

bro, your downoi must replant if not will start to melt. plant only the roots into the gravel, must be careful if not the plant wont grow well, u will need high lights and also root ferts to grow it well..

Um, frozen bloodworms and snails! Maybe brineshrimp one in a while, just for the fun of it. Anything I should look out for?
bbpippen; Ah okay, thanks for the tip! Will go adjust immediately. I'll see how well I can grow it then haha. |

You may want to consider changing your Vallisneria sp. to some other stem plants. These are big plants and will either do poorly in your small tank or grow too big and take over your tank in time.
