1.5feet aquascape attempt
Hi
This is my first try at aquascaping. Objective is to replicate some sort of "rock scape" something along the line of a rocky cliff plants are beginner plants like windelov fern and java moss on driftwood Tried to create a focal point in the middle of the tank , with the sand sloping up towards the back, which is helped by the outflow of the filter (eheim 2213) but i find the flow a little too strong, need something to regulate the flow, so probably add a flow control valve? or change the spray bar to lily pipe? which one would be better? Hope the bros here can advise, Thanks! |

Your hardscape is looking good. Maybe you could change the fern and tie more moss around the dw. If you are not injecting co2 then its fine. Use a lily pipe for smoother outflow.

but the current seems too strong for them i am aiming to keep a small colony of corydoras habrosus. initially was planning to keep a pair of apistos but i think with the current scape, not likely filter is eheim 2213 thanks Quote:

Add 1 or 2 more tall rocks in the center to bring out the mountain scape presence. I like your rock selections. Colouration is very even. The filtration should be just about right (I use the same for my 1.5x1x1 planted. Got 40+ neons inside always swimming against the current. With addition of the tall rocks, it will provide some shelter from the current for your fishes to rest. A small school of habrosus would do really well. Do consider adding some shrimps as well. Stay clear of Yamatos though, as those will make short work of your mosses. And a horned nerite + zebra nerite combo for tank cleaning.

hi, erm narrow java fern in the middle and mini nana around the rocks will be good as they're quite small and it will make your look bigger.

Great looking scape, more plants needed I must say.
