Strangely, it eats like no tomorrow but it remains skinny as ever, growing horizontally rather than vertically. Awesome looking PBB BTW I've never seen this kind of colouration before.
@Jarrick & Trix: Very nice looking dels, bros |

Sorry to deviate a bit. I got this piece of Lap recently due to its bandless when I saw it in the tank. However after a few days in my tank, it start to show greyish white.
I wonder if it is a platinum or just a bandless lap. Can anyone ID/advice? |

Nice bandless Lap. I had a WC one once that I had till about 16". It NEVER got the bands! Looked almost identical. I would most definately say not platinum, but definately a keeper! |

Wow Massive quake and tsunami hit us yesterday!
Family evacuated and this morning had to see if I had lost my home (and my bichirs!!!) My house is a little damaged, and lots of destruction everywhere but it withstood everything. Major problem though is no power through the night, so all my tanks have been reset... Now I have no choice but to cycle 8 large tanks with fish in :-( Nature can be a real ******* at times! |

good to see that your family and collections are fine. bichirs are very hardy fishes. they can withstand the cycling.
