Should be confirming a chiller with a bro today....then here comes more CRS....

But damn spotted some baby snails in my tank yesterday nite....about 10+ of them....should I get those dotted bubble fish (Dunno the name) to clean up the snails but heard once the snails are out they will start attacking the fish...

Maybe any can give some advises?

Thanks

Dunno the name = puffer.
one suggestion, climb up the ladder and bend over to clear as much snails as u can see manually...

if u going to add crs, think u may wanna hold back on the puffer.

Meaning CRS can clear these snails?

Actually r these snails harmful to the plants, meaning eating them up? Cos they kind of looks cute also....

puffer will attack your shrimps and fishes once they finished with the snails.

i dont find snails harmful to plants. in fact, they eat up algea. people hates them is becos its unsightly to the tank. i have already accepted snails as part of the eco sys in planted tank.

as for puffer fish, i think there was a "practice" in the planted community that the owner of the puffer fish will offer out the puffer once all the snails are clear to another hobbist. this fish will be pass around to those who wish to get rid of snails as most puffer ended dead due to hunger......

not sure this "practice" still a practice today!!

Added Chiller bought from a bro here....very new and clean..

He had modified the temo-set to a external. So far so good....

Ran it two days... for the start..it took about 3+ hours to chill the tank from 28+ degree to about 24+. I had currently set it at 25.5 cut off +&- 1 degree.
When it reaches 25, it took about 2 + hour to go back 26 before the chiller kicks in....took another 1 hour to go down to 25 before chiller cuts off with the T5 lights all on..

Will monitor the bills different when it comes.....
