Looks like nothing to do with Lego or designing collectibles

Judging from the designs, it seems like 1 is the improvement of the simpler design.

Possibility is a leaked insider info, unknowingly, by a party during the discussion phase to the another keen party.
Only the party involved will know and we just speculate from the info presented to us.

How much will winner of this design get ? I guess maybe $20,000 ? For LTA, this is a small amount. But for such a small fee for a design for LTA, LTA also wanna chu pattern speak so much of LTA management.
