Default XB with PNT and what???

Hi Experts,

I'm currently working for my tank to be in good water condition... just a thought so far, i currently have a 13 inch XB, a Pignose Turtle and a 6 inch Flagtail. Looking to add, i just dont know if a Tigrinus Catfish is ok, or an NGT will be better or both. I want the tig but it's a bottom dweller right? Won't it have a problem with my PNT? Thanks and hoping for your expert advice

hi,
I comm pnt n aro before, but as they grew bigger.
The pnt often bite the fins of the aro mostly at night whereby I only turn on dim light.
PNT are quite fierce too.
Thereafter, I donate the pnt away.........

Hi bro, how big is your PNT? Used to keep one previously but noticed it tends to become quite aggressive when it gets larger. My 10" RTC suffered a torn chunk of fin I still remembered. So probably not advisable to get a bottom dweller too.

Just my humble opinion.

Thanks bro. I like a tig, i guess my question is will it have a problem with my PNT since both are bottom dwellers...

Are tigs aggressive?

My aro is around13 inches. PNT around 7-8 inches in diameter. My PNT is quite friendly. used to have a HBRTG before and an IT. It would simply play or swim with either of those two but never saw it bite any of them but you got me thinking there since my HBRTG died and is suspected it due to my IT since the IT was the last to be introduced and i saw the IT aggressively attack my HBRTG a number of times.

you got me thinking there... but so far so good with my comm right now.

Just need to properly cycle my tank first since it crashed a few days ago and ammonia is quite high right now and pH dropped to 6. but i believe bioload should be ok for my 5x2x2.5 tank with a 4x18x18 sump. I only have my xb, pnt and flagtail in it

Thanks bro. my PNT is around 7-8 inches in diameter. fortunately its quite friendly... never saw it attack my aro and it just swims up and down and look for food at the bottom.

Thanks for all your replies. I guess i have the option of getting both the tig and the NGT. probably the more relevant question is "Are tigs aggressive to be kept alongside a PNT?". My PNT is friendly so far. Never had problems with it except with some fungal problems along its back a few months ago.
