Default All white GT vs yellow fin GT

Hi recently in lfs came across a lot of trevally.....

I saw at lfs.... Mostly white ...as in silvery body w white transparent fins.

Only came across a yellow fin one....

Any diff?

The yellow fin one could a black tip trevally, which is a different species from the usual GT.

When they grow bigger they all looks the same.

Ya. when they matures they look the same.. this is a monster fish, so if u are getting 1, make sure your tank is big enough to house it. Due to the fact they are marine fish, you may need to convert them back to marine to let them have a longer longevity

Yellow fin is brassy trevally and usually found in estuary

oo just curious...

Ya not intend to up my 5ft tank....
Even if change tank , likely keeping a 5x2x2.5 max....

Anyway no luck w gTs. ....

Bigger GT got easier keep?
As small one death rate high....

Not sure 5-6" easy death?

Anyone keep 5" w success?

Some brassy trevally also has white fins , not all have yellow.

Bigger size is easier but more expensive, seen a bro here kept his GT in pure fw till more than a ft length, very nice fish.

Just bought 2 baby GT about 2" in size at Polyart Yishun. Very active and tend to knock themselves on my tank walls. Seems like they got no brakes
