1st one was treated for bacterial infection. $50+:
this was the worst part. the small one was treated for lung infection. $80+: can c that its back is "floating". at 1st i thought was due to the uneven sand in the tank. but later one day when i moved him out to a smaller tank due to attacks by my bigger PNT i notice its back is always floating even when i pressed it down. so i rushed to the clinic. that time it was only 500gm. too light for its size. most prob it was underfed all the time. i only go to dr frederic chua's clinic at jln kayu. those conditions need antibiotics. normal med fr LFS will have slower effect or cant treat at all. |

everyone here is just doing our best to keep whatever we have of this species alive n healthy. we wont want to c our captive PNTs number decline due to poor condition/handling by anyone. some more they r already a CITES listed species. im already very cruel to keep them partitioned in the 6ft now. i definitely cant keep them together in there. actually even just keeping 1 in a 6ft also cant last for long. they will need a pond eventually with their max size of 23" SCL. |

In other news, I wish they have something called a turtle cane so that I can whack Piggy & Shelly when they misbehave.
KNS this morning when I fed them, they were racing to see who can eat most in the shortest period of time, then Shelly went to bite Piggy to chase him away, he bit her back. Then they started chasing each other around to nip each other (btw they don't bite each other hard enough for any damage) I was -_- and I knocked on the tank and they both stopped and looked at me. Then they didn't finish their food and went to sleep on top of each other in their corner. Wah liao. Isn't that so GRRRRRRRRR |
