Channa Pulchra, a gorgeous species
One of my channas in my collection, a Channa Pulchra which i've had for the past 2 years plus. He's quite tame and has the ability to quickly come up to the front of the tank when i'm in the room. He's currently in a tank on its own in my cool room (air-conditioned room). Water temperature around 20-25 degress Celcius depending on different times of the day and months. Lowest temperature recorded so far was 16 degress Celcius in the water. (which was taken during night time).
His colours seem to intensify especially when the temperature drops. A gorgeous specimen and one of my favourites amongst the Channa family. Here's a few pictures of him. |
