Bro ah, just got the red sea skimmer as well. Wanna check with you, does the skimmate overflow only when the water is dirty? Or it overflows all the time?

i think foam is supposed to reach just below the collection cup. it will overflow when enough dirty skimmate has accumulated. That's how I tuned my IQ skimmer anyway.

So after the skimmate overflows, it turns into milky water? mine now like that leh. Last night I turned full flow cause I thought the foam isn't flowing out, this morning end up the whole cup full with water.

should not be water, should be skimmate which is brownish in color. and smelly.
think you need to adjust your airflow. u got use the airtube provided? |

I see i see. Thanks for the help guys, will tune it.
I did use the airtube, connect to one of the holes on the cup right? Anyway, my foam still seems pretty clean, is it because my tank is still "new" ? No livestock yet. |

yes, go to the top cup. i think prolly u need to add ur livestock first. ur liverock? added?

Ahhh, no wonder. Got live rocks already, and some corals. Will take some picture and share soon. It's actually my dad's tank but I'm buying all the stuff
