These pictures were taken about 2 years after the start of the project i.e. in Jun 2009.

The plants look a bit messy as i was experimenting with different plants to see which plants adapt well to emmersed growth.

Quite a number of them grow on land as well.

You can see the pandan plant and the arrowhead plant (the one in the fish tank) that had been with me from the beginning. The arrowhead plant was doing very well.

Default My First Water Garden - Continued

This was after i removed the big brown shoe rack which was an eyesore to my water garden.

I had to customise a set of shelves from my old shoe rack and fix in onto the wall (can be partially seen at the bottom right of first picture), in order to remove the big brown shoe rack.

More pictures of the plants and the fishtank.

Thanks bro.

I kept swordtails and guppies in that set up. In fact, i started with less than 15 adult fishes and ended up with more than 100 adults.

Default My First Water Garden - Continued

These pictures where taken in Jan 2010, i.e. about 2 and a half years after i started with this project.

A few months before these pictures were taken, i had decided to move the 4 ft tank back to its metal stand and put a smaller tank at the base of the waterfall.

I guess the main problem was that i was not getting a good view of the fishes in the tank unless i sat on the floor.

So, i decided to leave some guppies and swordtails in the smaller tank and set up the 4ft tank with malawi cichlids while my plants continued to grow.

I was quite surprised by the height the arrowhead plant had grown.

Default My First Water Garden

These are the pictures of the fishes i had in the 4 ft tank and the smaller tank at the base of the waterfall.

1 month after these pictures where taken, i did a major revamp of my water garden to address some of the areas i was not satisfied with.

Will share that project some time later.......

Thank you all for taking time to read this thread. Hope you have found it worth your while.
