Default 110w in 2ft tank?

Hi guys,

Doing up another glosso tank. My last setup was using 1x55 watt. Im thinking if it will be crazy to add another 55 watts. Whats your say about this? Am i crazy? or you guys think its ok for me to continue.

I had done that before for my Hairgrass tank.. 2 x 55w Magnum set.. algae was a huge problem.. there must be a balance of nutrients and co2 to back up this high light wattage.

I counldn't control my parameters well and all hell broke loose and I had to tear it down...

actually it is possible. I have seen pple using 3x36w with no problems at all. but of course, need to have alot of co2 coupled with the nutrients.. and not all plants will do well under such high light.

glosso do need alot of light and co2, but i dun know if 110w is a little over.

mine failed because i didn't really know how to dose the minerals properly.

i got 1x55 + 2x36 on a 2.5ft, still battling glass algae. but I attribute it to nutrient inbalance.
