last time young tat time most moms/grannies will cook "bean noodle" or tau-sua (not mee sua) for their sick/unwell children. works wonder, missed those type of noodles.

Banana rice porridge.
Boil whole banana in skin with rice, good energy provider and helps control fever. Throw the banana skin from porridge before eating.
