Ideal PH should be about 7.2-7.8. Below 6.5 kois may face some problems and die.

my ph is about 7.8
this is at the high end of the range so I was initially a little worried would much prefer for it to be in the middle maybe its my over kiasi local mentality? anyway, my kois seem healthy and fine I read up and it seems that the worst thing is if there is a high fluctuation of ph between day and night as long as its stable, don't change more than 0.2, its ok even if its at either 'extreme' end of the recommended range also, I was told that ph differs depending on which part of the island you are at I am up north, and was told that it is usually higher not sure how accurate this is though |
