Hi,
I was cleaning my sump tank the other day and was surprize to find a 6" Catfish in the first compartment!!! i think it slip thur the overflow, i only put feeder catfish once and that was 3 months ago. Can't belive it grow from 1" to 6" in a small place with no food so fast. Attachment 260037 Cheers, Tawana Last edited by Tawana; 14-09-2010 at 12:35 AM. |

These little one can really grow. I got a few in my tank and you can notice their growth rate every week.

they are the most hardy fishes ever... Ever got one stuck in my cannister and and one stuck in my pipe inlet. Survive there for at least a month or so. Was still alive when i remove it as my cannister was producing too much noise.

My friend has a bright orange feeder koi around 10" in his pond (looks so out of place with monster fish >.<), others have over 1 foot long feeder catfish in their sump. I am definitely surprised to learn that they can survive inside cannisters and pipes. Wow! |
