What are your reasons for voting ur preferred party ?
Please no bashing. Just your reasons for voting whoever u voted for. Including spoilt votes.
I am 50 yrs old. I voted for my preference because 1. I wanted diversity of views. 2. I wanted a more inclusive society where less successful people are not shunned 3. I believe Group Think is unhealthy. 4. I was promised I would get ALL my CPF at 55yrs. I believe this promise has been broken. 5. I foresee the general masses of my children's generation will have a very hard time, even though I think my son will do reasonably well as a dentist. |

I voted for opposition because.....
1. I don't believe in "ownself check ownself". 2. For the past 10 years or so, I can see for myself more and more elderly are working as cleaners, tissue sellers, airport trolley handlers, collecting cardboards...... 3. For the past 20 years, I don't see any Ministers making big contribution in big significant projects benefiting Singaporeans or Singapore. I can only see Minister overspending on useless YOG, transport woes.... Do we still have good Ministers like the old guards who built HDBs, defense, international relationships, communications, airport, PSA..... Ministers like then Minister of communications Mr Ong Teng Cheong who against all odds fought for MRT to be built.... 4. I don't believe the GRC system is for minority representation.... when the PAP keep saying Singapore is a meritocracy place. Many more will add on when I can think of. |

I only want a balance of power.
the very first time I got to vote was the very first presidential election. OTC didn't get my vote as I don't want a all one party ruler even thou back then the opp had a very negative image been portray by 154. till now, my belief still stand until the opp party become in absolute power and I hope to rebalance it again. |

In 2011, I voted for WP bcos I dislike where PAP was going.
In 2015, I voted for WP bcos I like where WP is heading (in terms of manifesto, fielding of more credible diverse candidates like Leon Perera, Daniel Goh, He Ting Ru, Ron Tan etc). ================================================== A Professor of Education examines the 3 main parties’ proposals in detail and ranks them.
