Hi. You can try keep bichirs. For your tank size I think upper jaw bichirs?

Check out Emperor Tetras. Very very nice colours. I'm planning a setup for one of those... Hopefully it materialises....

A mix of neon tetras and rainbow fish will look good in a 3 feet tank.. But make sure that you get at least 50 pairs of neon tetras, they look best in large shoals..
