Maybe you want to do a bit more regular water change for now, reduce lighting or break your lighting hours into 2 (eg 8am - 12pm, 6pm - 10pm). See if it helps get rid of those hair algae.

I ever gotten very bad green hair algae bloom due to excessive lighting (3 days 24hrs) as i forgotten to off it (before i use timer). The whole take was just covered! Can't recall exactly how I got rid of it, but if I don't remember wrongly, lighting was one.

Thanks for sharing the pictures of your CRS tank. Looks good!

That drift wood with the plants looks like a bonsai tree!

Thanks for all the comments!

I'm losing the battle with the brown thread algae. It's spreading throughout the tank, my glosso is 'infected' with the brown thread algae too.

Manual removal everyday but it's like impossible to remove 100% of them.

Tried to find red nose shrimps, but C328 and the lfs around there doesn't have it. Yamato didn't touch the algae too.

WC regularly once every week but still no improvement. I had to resort to tearing the moss out of the bonsai tree.

Got a period where I was too sick to do manual removal for two days, the brown thread algae had simply overrun the tank......to my horror......however the shrimps, panda loaches and ottos are still surviving.

Have you tried Y618? Was there last week. Saw a tank with those shrimps.

Hello!

2 of the females are berried so far!

First time witnessing the shrimp mating dance, the whole tank went crazy looking for the female shrimp. Kind feel sad for the female, like getting 'gang raped' from all the males in the tank. Probably I should provide more hiding spots in the tank?

Feeling a sense of satisfaction when the shrimps are molting properly, eating and getting berried.

I will upload pics when I free to take them, currently busy with uni life.
