New aro

I bought an arowana yesterday and i put it in the tank turned off the lights for the night but this morning when i turned on the light my oscars will sometimes chase or nip the arowana but the arowana is 9" and the oscar is about 3" will it defend its self eventually or will the oscars leave it alone soon

I suggest you to isolate the arowana from the oscar ...
If you don't want your arowana to be injured

bro, your aro is still adjusting itself to the new environment. Allow it to settle down and temporarily remove the oscar to another tank.
Once the aro is acclimatised, you can add the oscar in.

I am also comming my 22" aro with a 7" tiger osca for more than 7 months now. Yes, at times, there will be some bickering but other than that, my aro is super boh chap type leaving the oscar alone.
