how many fan for a 4 2 2 tank
hi bro, any one with a 422 tank and using fan to cool the tank? can I check what's the min nos of fan required? ac / dc fan? thanks in advance.

I dont think any fan can cool down such size tank as there is a limit for fan.

I used 2 nos of 5" fan on my 4ft tank than and I managed to bring down the temp by appox 2 - 3*.
But the down side is that the tank can lose as much as 3 litre of water a day... |

i dont use a fan for my tank as i will top up the water once every week...my is a sump tank anyway....hehe

1 fan will do. the more u add. water evaporate faster only. temperature won't go lower.

1 is enough. Max can go 2 -3 degree down only

What I did was to have a small piece of glass with a 1.5" hole drilled... filled up a 1.5L "Poka" bottle...filled it up with water and upside down it into the hole...
So... as water evaporate... it'll top up by it self... |
