Just finish clearing up the whole mess.
The flooding is due to the skimmer overflow. Last night I add black powder and coral vital. There is always a lot of skimmate when I add these thing. So the skimmate over flow. By right it should go back to the sump. But because I cover my sump and left the skimmer cup protrude out of the sump's cover When the skimmate over flow it drop on the cover onto the cabinet floor and then into the hall Regards |

Last few day saw very little skimming.
So increase feed flow. Today take the opportunity to remove the feedpump and wash. After cleaning feedback the pump and start skimmer with last valve setting.Found flow too much. (Last few days with the same setting the flow was too little) Adjust flow so that water was just at skimmer neck. (was at below cup level after pump washup) Lesson learn :Need to clean feed pump regularly otherwise by playing with the feed flow valve can result in this over feed and flooding situation. Regards |
