It happened to me before in my shrimp tank and after I added two assassin snails the problem solved.

Thanks for the suggestion but i think the assassin snails might get assassinated by other assassins

if your monsters are not eating the snails, the assassin snails should be safe.

Clown loach is another very effective option.

or you can try using an aquarium snail trap. google for information.

As some Bros suggested, there are some solutions that will eradicate the snails but safe for fishes

the current snails are like super small poop size.. probably baby size or something

Yah, I am also having this sort of infestation in my pleco tank. Not sure how it suddenly appear. I just leave it to 'clean' my tank but it multiplies like crazy. Throw in carrot and cucumber don't seem to help as most ignore.

not so sure what type of snail , i'll try to snap a shot. mine also dont know where they come from , i removed my pandan plants long back.

One possibility if your FGT is exposed to elements.

Bird's poop. The bird could've eaten the snails. Some with eggs.
