No excuse for the defeat. We were just not good enough.
It was totally City in control and JM has no answer for Pep

It would be diff if we choose to attack them from start. No we very difficult to catch city

The lead stretched to 11 pts liao.

if we have take our chances well, it would have been a different ending.

It’s no use if we name an attacking line up but don’t attack and instead ask our forwards to do a defensive job

Still feel that JM had his tactics all wrong playing top teams so far.
Hoping for luck like the equaliser but our luck ran out today.

Let's focus on our remaining matches...at least make 2nd spot ours, our minimum target. Who knows for sure what will happen at end of season....City might not hv the stamina to last.

we definitely missed this guy.
and our passing is wayward too.

both goals the results of Lukaku's mistake.
He is not strong enough as a defender and as a forward.
The midfield onwards all littered with mistakes and not able to hold the ball long enough to sustain pressure.

Mou was right with one thing that the ref did not looked into and flash cards on the Man City players when they did the "tactical fouls". If you observed the game, everytime we win back the ball from them when they are attacking, the next city player will just commit a foul on the holder of the ball to allow city to get back. This happened throughout the game, but there was no action from the ref. This allows city to break up our play and re org to defence.

There are some silver linings from yesterday match.
The first one is that every team has a flaw, even in MC and second, strategy definitely does play a part and i put ours as being negative with an attacking formation and home ground advantage.
We might have a better chance to get something out of the game even against the most potent attacking team this season. We came close to scoring whenever we have the chance to attack them. i
f JM did not sit back to play counter attacking football right from the onset, the outcome might be different.
Maybe it was just me to feel disappointed at JM's game plan against MC after an unpredictable away 3-1 win against Arsenal.

Another plus point (or maybe not the case) for us this season is the importance of Pogba to the team, when he is out the team due to an injury or suspension, the team will be much less effective.
As said, we need definitely need another creative player to help the forward line while Matic helps hold the fort when Pogba is not around.
The loss of Pogba truly exposes what we are weak in or the lack of, not only in yesterday match.

However the sad news is that JM is not someone who will look to groom player from the youth team. He works short term, for immediate results rather than to build for the future.
He would rather go shopping again to get a ready make player to close this gap, maybe one or two players are still ok but the question is how far would the owner allows him to go around with an open cheque book.
Yes, he did make the team interesting again since the days of SAF and the club remains profitable every year but will this issue of paying a high price for players JM desired be continued, will be challenging to watch next season.

Probably, this matter would be much magnified or scrutinized depending on where and how we will end up at the end of the season.

GGMU!
