2ft x 1.5ft x 1.5ft newbie marine tank
Hello all,
Couple of weeks back I've started my marine and after 2weeks, I've added livestock. Tank is running on a Hang-on skimmer which I intend to upgrade when there's a good deal. Got quite a bit of algae on the sand bed now but the turbo snails are doing their job. Will try to add more clean up crew in time to come. FTS Ocellaris clownfish Normal green palys Hammer Coral & purple dartfish Got a symbiotic goby + shrimp in the tank as well, but i they are hiding somewhere LOL... Do recommend what else can I improve, in terms of skimmer or maybe increase filtration? |

2weeks+. think i on my lights for too long during cycling phase LOL. i that time bueyhiao so i left my lights on for 10hrs a day.. so the algae grew. but the turbo snails are doing a great job clearing the algae. might add more & some other algae control critters as well

looking good! I'm n00b to marine but have coralline algae means tank is doing well right? Your wavemaker have the "seasoned" look already.

yeah, coralline algae are the good ones. some are spreading around already. but i'm also facing green algae which is not good, but looks like they are clearing up after i stop feeding my plate coral pellets TOO often . my snails are doing a great job too. the wavemaker look season cos of the bad algaes loh! hahahaha |

i forgot what skimmer i use, its hang on the back so i can't see wahaha. just a simple hang on back skimmer. i think the amount of liverocks play a part in the water quality too.
light im using t5. 1 tube 10k and 1 tube actinic blue |
