700bucks diff for the warranty and servicing...

wow .. I never knew artica cost so much .. I always thought they are in the $1700 range. Depends on you lah .. from what I spend on my chiller .. I know chillers parts are not that expensive

yah. ARctica prices are really high. Sighz. me bad at DIy. So not taking the chance yet. That time diy cooling fans for my tank, end up spoiling everything. Then spend more money to get a proper fan set.
The smaller models of the arctica chillers are below 2k.
The model quoted to me, was the largest of the aquarium series. So thats why price so high. And cooling a 6 feet tank ah no joke... hee.

was looking at that model. Wanted to buy over from bro Ivcap. But budget tight. so cant buy. So now looking for one and start saving for it. then plan where to place and stuff. If not last min do i sure cock up one.. hee.

He's using T5s .. 3 MH bulbs are very much hotter than T5s.

yah.. MHs can boil water. I am using 1 x 250watt MH and 2 x 150 watt MHs for my 6x2x2. So hot hot hot.

But he using so many pump in his tank.U can try go JBJ web site do a test and they will tell u what chiller to go for.

did that. they reccomended me a 1/4hp chiller (Model DBE-200). but was thinking if i ever upgrade to a marine tank. will this chiller be able to handle the work load. well considering the sump, the skimmer, the extra pumps here and there...

His pumps are all OR pumps .. they run quite cool

the Daeli DBM250 is an oem of the Arctica DBM250.Diff is the price and warranty. oh well...
