Next up, growing another type of plant as another food source for my shrimps.

Anyone want to make a wild guess what plant is this going to be?

I guess they are soya bean. You very clever know how to use some big leaves wrap them up to hold the soil for nursery planting and no need buy those small black plastic bags.

Trying to save costs using the big leaves to hold the soil. Simple and easy.
The small leaves are misleading. Is a papaya plant.
Papaya leaves benefits as food source for shrimps are here.

I have the pink guava leaves but haven try, read that pink guava will lower pH so I not taking any chances as my shrimps are breeding very well now

Alternately I feeding borneowild shrimp food

I have not tried guava leaves. But I think most leaves will have certain properties to reduce ph. Even mulberry leaves also lower ph. I think is ok to feed guava leaves as it is natural and will not have a big and immediate impact on ph. To be sure u can try using a separate container with your tank water plus the guava leaves and monitor the ph. Just my 2 cents worth.

I am feeding mosura food as alternative.
