Comm tank and wavemakers.
Hi,
Just curios, for comm owners, how many wavemakers do you have in your tank? also how's the placement? I have 1 wavemaker in my 8 foot tank and my aro is not affected by it. thanks. |

I have one wavemaker in my 6ft. Put at the centre n point at the bottom. Create a circulation that will go to both sides..

I have a total of 4 wave makers in my 6 ft...two twin heads and two single heads. So far nippings recorded but not major fights. Fishes in the tank are as follows:
1) 9 x Golds 2) 4 x Kelberi Bahia Gold Spiders 3) 2 x FlagTails (Fei Feng) 4) 10 x Red Face Barbs Wavemaker was intentionally placed to disrupt the fights between aros...but noticed they do well to direct dirt into the IOS inlet for filteration Last edited by Helios; 19-09-2011 at 11:33 AM. |

I'm using two wavemaker for my 6ft tank n my main purpose is to force them swim against the current. This will made them grow faster by increase their metabolism n start eating again.

thanks currently planning to experiment on mixing my 4 big size reds in my 8 ft tank.
last timer tried 3 pieces but failed now adding another big red to try again. but worried as tank is an 8 footer and 1 twinhead wavemaker does not seem to affect my aro for sh*T at the buttom, i usually just siphon them during wc |
