like rock said, the issue here is to maintain a consistant co2 level of ard 30ppm during lights on period.

read some of the articles here

and especially this

also, having the lights on for 4-5 hrs may not be enough for the photosynthesis to really kick in. go for at least 8hrs.

sorrie, just to clarify...wad does naturfin C02 do?
and is it enuff to dope co2 tablets for nano tank instead of using co2 system?

nutrafin co2 system is just a well packaged commercial product for diy co2.
we can do the same with a soft drink bottle, sugar & yeast.

planted tanks need consistant co2 levels to have healthy growing plants which will in turn help in the prevention of algae.
you may be able to be disciplined in adding the co2 tablets but the best carbon source would still be co2. anyway, in the long run, it would be much more exp to keep getting the tablets when compared to diy co2.

I see...cos i used tablet co2 but my algaes pearl instead of all my other plants...

naturfin C02 system consists of what? any chemmical/products provided to evolve co2?...i'm struggling btw DIY or commercial co2 system for my small tank...If the naturfin C02 is gd enuff i might consider too...

for a nano, do your own DIY co2 system would suffice. just remember to change the co2 mix conscientiously.

Simple enough, typically after two weeks you should change the bottle mixture.

try DIY CO2 but cant seem to work dont knoe y but smell still the same
