turtles
Love to start a discussion on turtles/tortoise.. the topic of discussion should be limited to your past experiences (or present without having to reveal), your knowledge, suggestions etc.. Can be anything except - 1) NO DEALING 2) NO PRICING 3) not too sure about adoption but also try to avoid 4) No revealing or making the person to reveal what he/she has in their tank in term of turtles/tortoises.. 5) No criticism..
do take note, that AVA is very strict about reptiles in our region.. that's why think twice before posting.. My objective is to compile some articles/knowledge/experiences/pictures/etc for the turtles/tortoise lovers.. |

Let me start..
I am one who feel sad that such lovable creatures are banned in Singapore.. But there is no law that stop us from singing nice things about them (them refer to the lovable creatures and not the creatures who decide on the ban).. for those who have kept/keeping (no disclosure) turtles/tortoises, whats the biggest size you ever had or seen in captive? Any knowledge how to handle them when they get so big? |

worked with a group of ppl in Sri Lanka on turtle conservation...looks like beside tagging and breeding, long time captivity will lead to a slow death or motor skill impairment...
