Hey Bro,

Thanks for taking the effort in documenting your tank. Awesome effort so far.
I love how your tank has turned out. Good luck with your plants!

Hey thanks again guys! Haven't been updating in a long while..

Right now my plants are in a pretty bad shape. I have removed some plants because they were dying. I've also got an algae attack :/ I've got hair algae on the tank walls and BGA on the plants. I've manually removed quite a bit of BGA from the moss lawn and trimmed it too during my weekly water change.

I just replaced the light bulb with a cooler-coloured one. The stock one was 4000K, while the new one is around 6000K, rated 'daylight'. I'm now limiting the lighting hours to no more than 12 hours. Hopefully this will improve the algae situation. I've also started to dose Seachem Flourish and Excel according to their recommended daily dosing chart. Before this I only dosed when I remembered to haha. I hope this will help my plants and moss grow healthier.

I'll be photographing my tank over the next few days in intervals to see if there's any improvement.

Tue, 12 Aug (pardon the poor quality pics, cam settings not right)

The big disaster :/

Hair algae on the lotus. Lotus growing though, had to cut a few super long shoots.

Moss lawn after trimmed and removed of BGA.

BGA conquering the driftwood!

Thanks again for viewing and for your comments guys! (:

I'm using Magicsoil, recommended by the uncle at Colourful.
