Default Any easy and effective way to remove lime deposit on glass

My glass cover is like turning from transparent to opaque, tried using scrapping tools but very tiring and only managed to regain like 70% clarity. Any bro have any idea can share?

Tried before, not much help. Even using undiluted vinegar and leave it for half an hour also no effect.

You may have to change new tank. You use salt in your water?

Wah!!! No need la, just the top portion and cover.
Using salt occasionally when fish seems unwell, does it constituted to the lime or calcium deposits? I read up somewhere, this was caused by hard water... Maybe coral chip is the main culprit. Thanks anyway, I going to try on bar keepers friend on my glass cover 1st.

Last time I when I used a lot of salt I remembered the tank ended up with markings that cannot be erased near to water level.

Not really recommended. Its foam with chipped glass. So by scrabbling it, u are actually removing partial of the surface.

Do note, when u looked at the direction of use, it says do not use on glass, mirror, car body. But, yes it will remove the stain. As i do not intend to sell my tank, i use it occasionally to remove un-sightful stains

The most effective chem is hydrochloric acid - but hard to find in SG as it is controlled. US can just buy off the shelf...

Can try citric acid. It is more powerful than vinegar and should eat away the lime quite fast. It is a baking ingredient and should not be hard to find.

Make sure you buffer water properly before doing stuff to avoid PH swing.
