those for turtle soup is Chinese Soft Shell Turtle. look similiar but totally different species n family. PNTs have hard shell.

PNT was banned in early 2005 after they were listed in CITES II n the origin countries banned export of these turtles. Malayan Box Turtle was approved in late 2006. only RES have no change since day 1.

biohome, biohome+, siphorex, ehfi substrate pro, bacteria house, etc... all can b used for both OHF n cannisters.

CR is a mech filtration media. CC is more of to buffer pH. although both will have some BBs in there. but dont think it will b enough to break down the ammonia produced by a PNT since those r only used in a OHF.

just weighed the 2 PNTs after their meal. getting heavier n heavier.

female: ~1.42kg
male: ~1.58kg

will try to take some pics tml.

turtles not very sensitive to water parameters. so not that bad. but if water in very bad condition can cause infection/fungus/shell rot.
