Default ID cichlid ?

hi bros,

came across this rare cichlid. anyone can provide the scientific name ? looks like a CA cichlid

That's a paretroplus maculatus, native to Madagascar.

Not exactly rare right now as there are captive bred specimens available.

do you know how the rough est of this pc in the market ? as it's the first time i've seen it so im afraid i kena carrot :x

C328 got one big pcs at bk. Aquastar got a tank of wc . I always thought they belong to sunfish family

Used to be quite ex, but no longer so. The other fish which looks similar (without the black spot) is Paretroplus Menarambo, and it has also been available in C328, NKS, and other lfs from time to time. Can't really remember the price.

It's a paretroplus maculatus. Most of them are captive bred. Wild speecimens are very ex now.
