Default Need help on Altum angelfish.

Hi everyone. want to ask how to cure cloudy eye and swollen ? Last few days ago Just bought five Altum angelfish from someone. I didn't QT the new fish. cause I got no extra tank. Sudden one of them have swollen mouth and cloudy eye. Anyway I can treat it? Other Altum were alright and eat a lot.

No body can help?

Just took a photo of the fish. Look like I can see the eye ball. Still not eating. 2 days already.

For cloudy eyes, u can try 0.5% salt concentrate in an isolation tank. Since you had mentioned that you did not quarantine the new comers before mix them in, you may want to do a deworming session too with parzi gold and metro cure.

Then observed how it goes before using other medicine such as pimafix to treat fungal infection.

From my experience, usually the salt plus clean water will cure the issues.

Tested on my previous discus and altum

Thanks bro for replying. Been doing wc every 2 days. Can I ask if my Altum is outer layer cloudy or inter? Oh ya I just de worm whole tank.

I am not able to advise on whether it is outer or internal cloudy for the eyes. No knowledge on this area. Maybe other more senior keepers can advise you on this area

No problem. One side of the eye got worst. Got a feeling it can't make it. Sad. First time just bought fish and it die so fast. Sigh.

I have tried tetracycline on altums with such condition with varying success

U might want to drop the pH a little and to observe
sometimes doing less is more

was fish net used when u caught out the fish and also when moved to new home?

I got a feeling it can't make it sigh. The eye totally white. Mouth swollen. Sigh.

Hi bro yes the seller using net to catch. I bought from him on 22 July around 9pm plus. Quite sad if the fish can't make it. .

Didn't know fish can get so sick just 6 days. Any teacher can teach me it won't happen again if I get new fish again?
