May i know which type of Tang fish that is easier for newbies to keep?

2.5ft is too small for Tangs, recommended minimum 3x2x2.

but some people says fish grow depends on the size of your tank too...

I don't know if thats true or not. It may result in stunted growth.

Why a 3x2x2 is recommended over a 2.5ft is due to the nature of Tangs. Tangs, by nature, swim alot, hence alot of swimming space is needed(reason for the 3x2x2 space) even if the fish is relatively small. It is also to accomodate for the growth of the fish in future but more so for the extra swimming space.

With adequate swimming space, your fish would do much better than being crammed up and unable to swim due to the lack of space.

A bigger tank than 3x2x2 would definitely be even more suitable for Tangs.

Its approximately 2.5ft(L)x1.5ft(W)x1ft(H).

1ft = 30cm = 12inches

but i personally likes blue tang a lot and the way it swims...
i have bought a very small blue tang and see whether do fish grow according to the tank size....

Today i saw 1 LFS at bukit timah shopping center...
the ah pek put some guppies in a marine tank and they survived!!!

Do some fresh water fishes able to make it in salt water???

Yes,for a while only,a day or two.Tried before when feed my lionhead.maybe the ah pek make it as food for carnivorous fishes?
