What pump size need for 522 sump ?

it really depends. i am having 522 sump too and i am using eheim 1264 at 4500l/hr. it is actually not enough as the turnover rate is only about 3 to 4 times.

but since my bioload is low for now and i prefer eheim due to its reliability, i went ahead.

i may consider changing to a 9000l/hr laguna pump or other brands when needed.
