Thanks. Not 2ft but nearly 3ftX2ft with low height. A little too crowded to my liking....there are at least 80~100 in each tank, optimum would be at around 60 imo. Pls, pls do NOT follow my style and overload your tank! Your 3ft tank will NOT be able to take more than 40 fishes imo....i.e. your water perimeters is unstable atm, etc.

2fts are most suitably for fries tank or breeding pair tank. You should dump all yr Malawi fries (2 types right?) & your sole front fry to grow out together imo.

IMO if all fries are almost same size, its best to put them together so it saves you time, and can feed, monitor easily. I assume they are all 1~3 cm, so you can mix all 3 together. The 2ft fry tank can only last few months as when your fries get bigger its best to put them into a bigger tank so as not to impede/stunt their growth. For this fry tank, its best to have sponge filter/s, coral sand and only couple rockworks (minimum). Put them together, monitor couple days and then you can confirm their compatibility. IMO the more fries the merrier as that will curb their aggression. You will also monitor whether they are eating well, behaving ok, etc so as to know the frequency of your WC regime. For me, WC 75% works best every 3 days with Prime anti-chlorine.

Just thought I would do an update of my 5ft tank to keep tanganyikan passion alive, since African cichlids thread has been stagnant awhile now. Just wanna share with you all...

P/S: Apologies for the blue lightings which cannot clearly see the colours of the fishes and sorry for the amateurish photos.
